I'm pleased to announce the 'R' library node is now available for use with Dataverse 3.1.0.
R is an open source programming language and software environment for statistical computing. The capabilities of the base R environment can be extended through the use of over 7000 additional 'packages' that are available at the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN).
The R library node enables Dataverse to integrate with an R environment that is running Rserve. The R environment may be on the same machine as the machine hosting Dataverse (e.g. when running Dataverse on a Windows PC) or another machine on the network (e.g. where Dataverse and R are run on separate servers).
The R node can be downloaded from the product downloads page of the Lavastorm website:
The installation and configuration guide is also available from the above location. Please ensure this document is read before the download and use of the R library node.
Open-source R is available under separate open source software license terms and is not part of Dataverse. As such, open-source R is not within the scope of your license for Dataverse. Open-source R is not supported, maintained, or warranted in any way by Lavastorm. Download and use of opensource R is solely at your own discretion and subject to the free open source license terms applicable to open-source R.
R and the RServe client are not distributed by Lavastorm. The R node communicates with these programs to execute R scripts.
